two tools · two directions

Reading goal calculator starts from a destination How much should I read to hit my goal? A year of books, or one book and a date — worked into the pages your own reading days ask of you. After the answer

The tools tell you what to do. RUNU remembers what happened.

Plan your reading with the tools above. Track what actually happens with RUNU — the sittings you recorded, the pages you really advanced, the pace that came out of them.

  1. Plan the tools
  2. Read your own sittings
  3. Remember RUNU

RUNU is in pre-launch. The calculators are public pages: they don't know your account, and nothing you type into them is saved.

Why we build these

A reading question is only useful once it's specific.

A goal you can't act on today is a direction, not a plan. A reading time built on an average reader isn't about you. Both calculators do the same small bit of reading planning: they take the figure you actually know and hand back one you can use this evening.

Neither of them scores you. Pages an hour is a measurement, not a target, and a missed reading day just makes the sum come out differently next time.

Every number on this page is illustrative, chosen because it divides cleanly.

RUNU is in pre-launch. The tools stay free and open either way.
